NAGPUR UNIVERSITY MAHARASHTRA

The University of Nagpur was established on August 4, 1923 in the city of Nagpur in the Maharashtra state of central India. The university was divided on May 1, 1983, when some of its facilities were rededicated to the creation of the new Amravati University. The name of the university has recently been changed to Rashtriyasant Tukdoji Maharaj (RTM) University. In later years, several career oriented courses have been started viz., Business Management, Fine Arts, Mass Communication, Library Science, Physical Education, etc.

Employment Information and Guidance Bureau:
Coaching: Is provided to students preparing for IAS and allied services examination.
Hobby Workshop: Provides an outlet for the talents of students in the fields of Electronics, Metal and Wood Work, Clay Modeling, Painting and Photography.
Health Centre: Dispenses the medicines free of cost of students and with nominal charges to employees of universities/affiliated colleges. Emergency services is available on telephonic request.
Physical Education and Games: The university has playground of about 15 acres with facilities for out-door games. A big hall with facilities for several indoor games, like Badminton, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Judo, Chess etc. is also available.
The University maintains Hostel for Students, Admission to the Hostels is subject to the prior admission to the Department or College maintained by the University.
